Lot 201: 1987 Porsche 944 Coupe
When in November 1975 Porsche launched the 924, it marked a radical departure for the company, not only did it have a front engine, it was also water rather than air-cooled. Shortly after that came the 944. Again front engined and again water cooled but this time with a proper Stuttgart developed engine and a more aggressive body shell. Increased performance, handling and design all came together to bring this new wave of Porsche motorcars the popularity it deserved. The right hand drive manual example offered today is finished in Alpine white with contrasting black cloth interior. The vendor states that this car has recently come to light following a period of storage and would require gentle recommisioning to get it back on to the road. This model is undoubtedly one of the best value Porsches that one can buy and represents great value for relativly little expense.
