Lot 218: 1971 Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Coupe

Lgende et Passion, Coys (20 May 2006)

Alfa Romeo, Italy's oldest sporting marque, has been building cars since 1910. They produced some of the greatest machinery ever to be seen pre-war, such as the beautiful 1750 Zagato roadsters, the magnificent Monzas and the mighty P3 racing cars. With the advent of the 1950s Alfa Romeo was forced to rationalise its production in order to survive financially. Nonetheless the firm still maintained a strong sporting tendency, and a model was always available to satisfy the whims of Alfa's affluent young customers; such a car was the 1300 GT, styled by Bertone. This well preserved example is finished in the attractive combination of red with a black interior. The engine has been overhauled just 4.050 km ago and the little sporting Alfa has benefited from a new coat of paint in 2003. Featuring sports suspension, chrome instruments and a Nardi wood steering wheel, this little gem has all the right bits for fast road use or would provide a cheap entry into classic racing.Avec un moteur reconditionne qui a seulement couru 4.050 Km, la peinture refaite en 2003, une suspension de sport et un volant Nardi, cette jolie Alfa Romeo possde tous les ingrédients pour une voiture vite, également sur la route ou les courses.
