Lot 108: Volkswagen Scirocco "Escala

Jaguar Heritage + Classic & Collectors Motor Cars, Barons (29 April 2008)

The VW Scirocco may not be the first car that pops into your mind when someone mentions classic cars. But a 20 year old Sirocco with only 68,000 miles on the clock and full service history, might be different. The car may have been German but the Italian term Scirocco, is a dry wind that blows into the Mediterranean from the dessert from the west and the designer of the car was Giorgetto Giugiaro. The model was first seen in 1974 and was available in various guises. Offered here is a 1988 1.8 Escala, limited edition, which is complete with full service histyory and has covered a warranted 68,000 miles from new. It is finished in white with check interior, has a five-speed manual gearbox and is complete with original, stamped, service booklet, containing 17 service stamps.
