Lot 138: Mercedes-Benz S500 LWB

Jaguar Heritage + Classic & Collectors Motor Cars, Barons (29 April 2008)

The S-Class is the undisputed sales leader in the premium luxury motorcar category. With over 370,000 sold, since the current version was introduced between 1992 and 1997, the S Class was a hard act to follow. A range of models feature state-of-the-art occupant protection, anti-theft and vehicle-stability systems, double glazing and self closing doors and boot. Priced at between 60,000 and 120,000, the 119 S Class was never cheap but these imposing carriages can be owned by mere mortals through the passage of time and inevitable depreciation. This 1997 example, of the S500 Limousine or LWB is said to have covered just 72600 miles from new and has had one previous keeper. The car us said to drive exceptionally well and is equipped with a host of options, including the double glazing, leather, power windows, seats etc. Finished in Mercedes Green Black with grey leather, the car is described as being in exceptional condition throughout.
