Lot 140: Mercedes-Benz 300CE

Classic & Sports Cars, Barons (28 April 2009)

The Mercedes E124 Series Coupe and convertible were immensely successful and gained an instant following when they hit the used car market, The most desirable of the range was the 3.0 straight six, which evolved into the E320 in the latter years of production. The model itself remained in production from 1986 to 1995 and remained extremely popular. Offered here is a 300CE of 1992 vintage, which has benefited from considerable expenditure since 2007. This has included a new radiator, new exhaust, new rear screen, new fuel pump, 5 new tyres, new pads, major service and a new headlining. Finished in Mercedes Blue-Black with mushroom leather, the car is described as being in good overall condition and is said to have provided 6000 miles of pleasurable motoring for the vendor over the past two years. Equipped with the 2960cc, straight six engine and automatic transmission, the car is complete with a number of previous MoT certificates and invoices and has a current MoT through to March 2010.
