Lot 116: Mercedes-Benz

Classic Car, Motorcycle & Automobilia, Brightwells Auctioneers and Valuers (24 June 2009)

First registered in August 1982 and looking particularly fetching in Pearl Blue Metallic with blue MB-Tex interior, this car is said to be in superb original condition throughout. It has had just two owners from new and has only covered 88,000 miles to date with a scarcely believable 27 service stamps in the book that's one service every 3,250 miles!

The last owner kept the car for twelve years and apparently insisted on using only genuine Mercedes parts to preserve the quality and originality of the car. Recent new parts include new under-bonnet soundproofing, new window seals all round, new electric aerial and a full new exhaust system. Four new Michelin tyres have also just been fitted. The vendor states that the mechanics fitting the exhaust commented that they had never seen the underside of a car of this age in such superb condition so make sure you take a peek to see if they are right!

The car is said to drive perfectly while the interior is described as being like new. It comes with all its original manuals, the aforementioned service history, a spare set of keys, the last 12 MOTs and the original Grundig radio. Supplied with a full 12 months MOT, it must surely be as good an example as you could ever hope to find.
