Lot 250: Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage

Aston Martin and Lagonda Motor Cars, Bonhams (19 May 2012)

This well presented DB7 Vantage Volante is finished in special order Ferrari Grigio Titanio with full claret leather interior and black Aston Martin over-mats. Other special features include dashboard and door trims in piano black and dials refinished in parchment by Chiltern Aston Martin. Aluminium switch-gear from the GT is fitted also, adding up to a unique colour scheme complete with hood in dark red. The claret leather tonneau cover for the folded hood comes with its original bag. 'E6 LTR' boasts an extremely generous specification that includes heated seats, heated screens front and rear, and air conditioning as standard. Every option box was ticked so the car also comes with 'power fold' mirrors and wind deflector. It has the optional Vantage 19" wheels, which were refurbished before the Classic Le Mans in 2010. Additionally, the brake callipers have been powder coated in red with silver Aston Martin script to add a special touch, and there are enlarged side strakes with the words 'V12 Vantage' engraved on them. The bespoke stainless steel sports exhaust system specially created for this car is fabricated in 3" tubing (2" standard) all the way through and incorporates two high-flow sports catalysts. Inside there is a top-of-the-range Becker Cascade media system with integrated satellite navigation and a single CD player plus iPod and Bluetooth 'phone connectivity. We are advised that it sounds amazing and works perfectly while the 'satnav' has taken the vendor across France and Germany as well as the UK. The Aston comes with full service history (including a visit to Works Service in 2005) and has covered circa 48,000 miles from new. Chiltern Aston Centre carried out the last three services and is well acquainted with the car. The all-important ignition coils were replaced in 2010 at Chiltern Aston together with all the spark plugs. The front tyres are less than 10,000 miles old and the rear tyres are new, as is the Bosch battery, which is topped up via a trickle charger point. Described by the private vendor as in generally very good condition, this unique DB7 Vantage Volante is offered with the aforementioned service history, MoT/tax to 2013 and Swansea V5 registration document.
