Lot 108: Audi Quattro

HISTORIC COLLECTORS MOTORCARS, Coys (29 June 2013)

The Audi Quattro was supposed to fade quietly out of production in 1988, however massive demand in particular from the UK, ensured that it remained in production long after the 80/90/Coupé that it was derived from, had disappeared from the scene. To celebrate its stay of execution, Audi shoehorned in the 20-valve five cylinder engine from the Audi 200 and upped the output to a more than useful 220bhp. Of all the Quattro's, these last of line 20Vs are regarded as by far the best to drive, and quickest to boot. This 1985 Quattro has been stored for the last 7 years by the current vendor. Most recently it has been overhauled, and fully serviced with a new fuel injection system. Having covered just 74,000 miles, it is reported to be in good overall condition and fitted with good wheels and tyres. Finished in its original period Grand Prix white with black interior, this iconic 80's Audi Quattro should bring out the 'Mancunian Copper' in you- 'Fire up the Quattro!'Offered with UK V5 registration papers, UK MoT and a large history file.
