Lot 116: Mercedes-Benz SL320

HISTORIC COLLECTORS MOTORCARS, Coys (29 June 2013)

The Mercedes-Benz SL roadster has been manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sport Leicht, or Sport Light and was first applied to the 300SL 'Gullwing' named also after its gullwing or upward-opening doors. The SL has been in production ever since and is perhaps one of the most successful sports cars produced. With only 39,000 miles from new and a full service history including a recent service carried out in June, it is no surprise the vendor describes the car is being in excellent condition. The last owner had the car from 2004 and prior to that there was only one former keeper. Ten old MoT's make up the history file along with a V5 document and a current certificate valid until April next year. Boasting all the creature comforts you would expect from Mercedes including Nappa leather interior, climate control, heated electric seats as well as the soft top being in like new condition this is one of the finest examples on the market. With the flexibility of a removable hard top and an electric hood too, this Mercedes offers stylish open top motoring with all the electronic gadgets you would expect from a modern Mercedes. With the style, performance and Mercedes-Benz build quality on offer this is car that you cannot afford to miss.
