Overview

The Bricklin sports car was developed and sold by American Malcolm Bricklin.  The car had the letters SV added to the name to denote "safety vehicle."

Bricklin attempted to use safety as a sales draw to the car but this was only moderately successful.  The majority of Bricklins were painted orange to make them stand out and none of the cars had an ashtray because smoking in a car can be dangerous.
