Strathcarron
Overview
1988 to date
A return to a simple, lightweight sports car ideal was the reasoning behind the Strathcarron SC-4 . This open 2-seater was designed to be as lightweight as possible - weighing just 560kg with a 1200cc, 125bhp Triumph motorcycle power gave it an enviable power-to-weight ratio. The SC-4 was designed and chassis engineered by Reynard Motorsport and productionised by a company specialising in pre-production development for major car makers. The chassis was a monocoque made of composite materials and the doorless open body. A 6-speed sequential gearbox, high-ratio streeing rack, Brembo ventilated disc brakes, unequal length wishbone front and De Dion /4 link rear suspension.
