Overview

1897 - 1900

Although Headland's main business was the manufacture of batteries, they made a few electric vehicles under their own name which were exhibited at various shows.  These included a rear-drive dos-a-dos dogcart, and a phaeton in which the motor drove the front wheels, the whole unit being centrally pivotted and therefore turning with the steering.
