Joel electric cars used two motors of 2hp each, driving by chains to each rear wheel. Closed and open models were made; among the latter was the Brighton 2 seater, so called because it made the journey from London to Brighton (57 miles) on a single charge. The name came from the designer, Henry M Joel.
