Overview

Brian Lister showed off his first sports car in 1954 and when this was sold, he made a couple more.  Archie Scott-Brown won eleven races in 1957 in a Lister and he broke the lap record on virtually every circuit on which he appeared. Scott Brown was killed whilst racing on the Spa circuit in 1959 and this upset Lister so much that he decided to turn his back on motor sport, but in the 1980s his name was attached by WP Automotive to new Lister-Jaguar motor-sport cars, based on the XJS.  The Lister Storm was built in 1991 to compete at Le Mans and the original Lister-Jaguar was also recreated.
