1979 - 1980

This neo-classic kit car had a unique look, more along the lines of European pre-war sedans like the BMW 320 and Talbot Lagos than Packards and Duesenbergs.  It was shorter and more rounded and was one of the best looking kit cars of its type. Sceptres were designed by Tom and Ray Kinney and they had many luxury features. They had a Mercury Cougar chassis and engine powering an MG Midget rear body section with a long bonnet.

This kit project was sold to Gatsby, who renamed it the Griffin.
