Overview

1959

Although it was made in Ireland, the Shamrock was intended for the American market, courtesy of William K. Curtis.  Using the 1.5 litre engine, transmission and suspension of the Austin A55, Curtis made a sports-style 4-seater fibreglass body with a removable hard-top.  Production of 3000 was planned for the first year, rising to 10,000 during the following two years, but only four cars were made.
