Overview

Standro Stanga's Officina Meccanica della Stanga in Manerbio, Italy became famous overnight when his small sports cars were so successful in the Mille Miglia.  The cars entered in the 1950 and 1951 races were powered by Giannini engines, and these achieved good 750 cc class results in the Mille Miglia and other races.  Carozzeria Motto built a coupe based on a Stanga with a Fiat V-8 engine.  At least one car had a Fiat 600 engine installed.
