The Fiat X1/9 was a two-seater with a body that was typically by Bertone. The 1,290 or 1,498 cc four-cylinder engines was mounted in front of the rear axle which delivered 75 and 85 bhp to give top speeds of 106-112 mph (170-180 km/hour). The car had a removable "Targa" roof. Bertone continued to build the car from September 1981 to the end of 1988 under their own name.
