Morris Minor MM Tourer

Overview
Produced: 1948-1953, 74960 produced. ((all Minor Tourers))
Types: Convertible,2 doors,4 seats

As part of what would soon be a comprehensive model range the Morris Minor Tourer appeared alongside the Saloon in 1948. Initially produced in "low light" form, the Tourer gained the revised headlamp/front wing layout in 1951 along with the Saloons. Early Tourer's also featured removable, canvas rear I/4 windows, however fixed glass windows replaced them in 1951.

The Tourer used the same mechanical layout as the other Minors, including the 918cc sidevalve engine and monocoque bodyshell design. The Minor Tourer may not have been a fast sportscar but it certainly added a touch of class to the range in what was still a sober, post-war, petrol rationed motoring world.
