Built for the home market by Ford of Germany the 17M and 20M continued the Taunus family line of saloons. The 17M and 20M came with a range of different body and engine options, body styles included 2 and 4 door saloons, coupe and estate types. Engine choices for the 17M included either 1498cc or 1699cc V4, or a 1814cc V6. The 20M could be ordered with a 2.3 V6 and an even more powerful 2.6 V6 26M model was also available.
Only a small number of these West German Ford models were imported to Britain, however they have sold well in their home market and the rest of Europe for many years.
