Triumph Dolomite 1850

Overview
Produced: 1976-1980, 79010 produced.
Types: Saloon,4 doors,4 seats

The Dolomite 1850 was an unusual mix of Dolomite bodyshell (the four headlamp type) coupled to the new "slant four" 1854cc engine shared with Saab. The new 1850 engine was really half a Stag engine and thanks to its clever design, was powerful enough to deliver a top speed of over 100mph.

Despite being blessed with exceptional performance the Dolomite 1850 lacked the sporting style of the Sprint model and can almost be considered as being a "Q" car due to its humble appearance. Externally there were few clues to show the cars sporting characteristics and the interior was typical of Triumph saloon models of this era.
