When Rootes were engoying success with the Hillman Imp and Singer Chamois, the Sunbeam customer was offered the Sunbeam Chamois and Sunbeam Imp. Both cars had 875 cc four-cylinder engines that had outputs of 42 in the Chamois and 55 in the Imp.
