The last Humber Pullman model made its debut in 1953, the Mk IV version. Humber had already begun to replace sales of its sombre Pullman with the less formal Imperial model, this also appeared in Mk IV guise during 1953.
As before, the Pullman was generally a "divided" limousine complete with electrically operated division, where as the Imperial model suited the "owner/driver" customer who preferred coloured coachwork (not the usual Black found on most examples of the Pullman). The Pullman and Imperial were mechanically the same, both cars being powered by an overhead valve 4138cc straight six engine.
