1966-1966, 40963 produced.
The Oldsmobile Toronado of 1966 had banner headlines in the newspapers. It was the first post-war American car with front-wheel drive to be built in large numbers. The five-seater coupe had a brilliant V-8 engine of 6,965 cc and after 1968 even 7,446 cc to produce at first 390 then 406 bhp. The Toronado was little used for racing though. For this the works had the F-85 in 4-4-2 version.
