Reselco Ltd Nelson Solocar

Produced: 1930-1940

Developed in 1930 for the use of the thousands of disabled World War One veterans who needed mobility, the Solocar was made by Reselco Ltd. of London. Making extensive use of pressed-steel in the curvaceous and protective bodywork, the vehicle was powered by a 36V motor energized by car batteries and driving to the rear transaxle. Full-sized brakes were fitted.

The Solocar proved an excellent design and barely changed until the nineteen-sixties, being made obsolete by the newer, enclosed Invacar three-wheelers of the period.
