Triumph Dolomite Special
The car photographed in Belgium, although apparently a straight eight, is in fact a quite beautifully built 'special', completed in 2009. The car is actually fitted with a Triumph straight six cylinder engine of the correct period, which has conveniently, four exhaust ports. These are then expertly 'siamesed' into the iconic eight external exhaust pipes and so the car is outwardly, a perfect replica, constructed with consummate skill, of the 1935 car as campaigned by Triumph Motor Company's then Development Engineer, Donald Healey.
